Finlay's East Beach Cafe

Came here for breakfast with my husband. It was a nice simple place for simple breakfast. No wait on a Sunday morning at 11 am. And not busy either. It's more like a cafe place serving breakfast options as well. Eggs were delicious and bread was nice. Order and pay at counter then you may seat yourselves.

Lovely view of the ocean from the heated patio. Enjoyed the cranberry bran muffin with hot coffee. Friendly staff. Highly recommend.

I still like this local family business. Lately I had the fresh baked warm muffin & another time the banana bread. Leaving my previous kind words review... place for coffee and a cookie. Great sheltered seasonal patio. As I've said before "The new open/close patio is very impressive, fresh and clean." Finlay's Happy Hour w/large selection of beer or alcohol drinks.

The staff were caught off guard I think, I didn’t realize i went in right when they opened the door. I ordered a latte and coffee & they did their best to make them for me while they were doing the things they needed to do to get ready for the day. It was expensive here but also good. I love the photo wallpaper.

My friend and I have been stopping at Finlay's since 2017 when it was The Watts cafe. The ladies are always very nice and deliver our food as soon as it is prepared . We love the penninis. They are full of meat and very filling. We have to accept the fact that prices have gone up to cover the cost of the ingredients. They can't give the food away at cost. The cafe would be out of business in no time. I don't need fancy little bits of greens and red to dress up the plate. I have never heard any other customers complain like some of the ones written here. This is our favourite place because it gives us a reason to walk the full promenade west to east. Their muffins are delicious too so sometimes I buy one to go. We can relax and enjoy the scenery. My only suggestion is that the TV is very annoying so leave it off so that patrons can have a pleasant conversation without yelling at each other over that.

On December 7, I was here and had a delicious soy latté and a breakfast wrap, which I enjoyed outside on the heated patio right across the road from the beach. This was the only breakfast place with a view of the ocean. Although it was a cloudy day, it was heavenly being there breathing in the salt air with my daughter (she loved her smoked salmon on a bagel with cream cheese) and my granddaughter. The staff were very quiet but polite and professional. I hope their business keeps going strong. I look forward to returning and highly recommend it!

I don’t know why the reviews is under 4.5 for this cafe. I really enjoyed the egg & toast and the atmosphere and the reasonable price

Great and affordable Cafe ! Servers Ravneet and Maninder both were serving and making food for over 40 customers:))) Appreciate their hard work, no words to explain..
